ok well I wouldn't think it's unethical in any way to fake emotion in mafia because I think the game of mafia is supposed to be about faking emotions and trying to read someone's true identity behind the mask they wear on the surface.

I've always felt that mafia is more of an emotional/psychological game than a logical game.

2299 is not a post any player who believes themselves to be villager makes. You really aren't the god of method acting that you want to believe yourself to be. I'll stop arguing with you because this really isn't a productive way to spend my time, but as a player who is genuinely capable of playing indistinguishably from my town game I find that it is far higher equity to play my scum game as a scum game rather than a town game where I have a scum win condition.

I am trying to find the closest thing to explain how I play scum, so that people stop accusing me of lying about faking my emotions. You play differently. Congrats! This is MY method and I’m sorry if you can’t respect it.

The logical part of playing scum is strategic but the emotional part isn’t. I honestly don’t know any better how to explain it. *shrug*

@RadiantCowbells, when I’m town, I’m obviously not method acting when I’m scum I am and while my logical decisions are strategic, my emotions and emotional reactions develop organically and to a large extent are beyond my control.

If I do that it isn’t strategic. I never try to get someone angry unless I’m genuinely angry at them. That’s how I’m being woefully misunderstood.

Because in GnRIV nobody had any idea who I was and multiple guesses were entertained (including gobbles, titus, RC, and maybe nacho if memory serves) and so gobbles decided to meme by claiming that he was I in the postgame (presumably after seeing all the speculation)

lmao no, I just got super burned out but was struggling to actually take a break then (probably) caught COVID and had to rep out of all of my games

When I was thinking about coming back I wanted to see if playing on account where I wasn’t expected to tryhard in games would make playing more enjoyable and then... proceeded to have a shitfit in 2/3 towngames and to tryhard the other one, so basically the experiment was a failure (playing scum was more fun tho!)

I don't think there were really a lot of actual major hard feelings towards you aldu. I know I happened to have an unlikeable win condition this time but I admired the way you didn't give into the general frustration/AtE stuff in the air and just played your way.

Actually every time I play with you I tend to have at least one moment where I realise I think you're great. so, I think you're great.
