I'll allow placeholder votes using the HURT: tags in the event the player is afraid they'll forget to pass it on. The person it's passed to will simply default to the placeholder they've put down earlier.
If no placeholder vote was used, I'll pick the last living/non-cursed player the scroll bearer has voted in the game to receive the scroll.
If the above is not applicable, I'll allow mafia to pick.

It’s not a death grip read but my read has slightly edged to town on adorable. Given how they reacted to being hurt.

The most plausible explanation to me is that he looked in the scum PT, saw them asking him to switch and switched his vote.

There is some ??? to Adorable hurt into LLD hurt. You could argue it was a gambit to improve Adorable's position but I find the scum team panicking and asking him to switch the vote more plausible because they could see an adorable miselimination but not a conventional LLD one.
Just speculation tho. I'm not sure a scum team would think to do that with a relatively unreliable adorable scum. What do you think Adorable, why did scum!Fred Hurt @ you before moving to LLD?

Presuming Fred is indeed scum (and it

unlikely he would curse LLD without a word otherwise) I agree that Adorable has good odds of being scum now. Thought she was town because of the cool reaction to the scroll threat, but Fred!scum means she would've known all along what was going to happen so it's not worth anything. Red Adorable flip would be useful for hard clearing Fidget and Theta too. Would be my second choice after shelly.

If he’s not scum, then we’ve likely got yet another case of players throwing to play town hero, so I want to be scum not just for the obvious reasons but to give me reason to hope this game is actually winnable.

We can only just hope that LLD correctly hits scum.

I think if scum theatre is happening it’s probably not with Adorable but someone else. Fred either decided or he was pressured into changing his scroll pick is my theory.

If I’m right then the chances of Fred flipping scum here increases exponentially.

He could have done the same thing with Pooky/MC.

But if scum!Fred wanted Nora, then scrolling LLD would be an ingenious way of achieving this. I’m really hoping that LLD has re-evaluated her Noraa read.
