I may as well address my geraintm vote, which I think is quite obvious, but everyone asking can't be scum (though I am certain at least one is).

I initially voted them as a bit of pressure because they were fluffing and semi-lurking. Then geraintm finally comes back to the thread and posts an angry screed about how fluffy D1 is and laments why we can't just hurry along to D2. Is it possible that comes from town? Maybe. But it also feels very manufactured when you consider we only had a handful of pages at that point. I could see getting annoyed at fluff posting and a long D1 if we were on like page 50. But only ~10 pages? Seems fake.

Geraintm hasn't posted any substance since then either. If they are so eager to get to the meat of the game, why aren't they scum hunting?

Btw, shelly and infinity, definitely am going to require you to explain why you chose to attack me over my geraintm vote while saying nothing about DGB's vote.

What made me more scummy than DGB?

here is VPB's progression on gerain. it starts in RVS with an assumption that gerain is scum, and VP only gets more confident from there. VP is told that that's normal play for gerain, but theres no attempt to solve or sort. VP's very first mention of gerain is a vote, and VP never really does anything to sort gerain from there. VP challenges shelly to vote gerain to prove him wrong, but VPB is just as cocky today despite the flip. and yet im the scummy one for eventually following along?

Part of it was you bringing up the gerain tunnel again. It makes perfect sense as a scum tunnel because there wasn't really anything to trigger it and he was going after an easy target. Also his view that you and I are controlling the gamestate doesn't match up with his confidence in e.g. 2202, 2268, and 2271. It reminded me of when in haunted village I asked isis what her view of the gamestate was and she said "Scum are probably lurking but I'm gonna hammer noraa anyway". I feel like scum (esp. stronger scum) are likely to pretend they have a coherent view of the gamestate but it doesn't really make sense. Sometimes I just get strong scumvibes after I engage with people and they're usually right. I think town is more likely to do the think where you bounce reads off each other/float ideas and it feels natural whereas VP feels like he's just trying to convince me.
