I see what Gamma is saying -- Just because he thinks I'm scummy, that doesn't mean Andante is now town by proxy just because Andante's one of my primary suspicions.

Does sort of seem.... weird Gamma never mentioned it though. It's something that makes me hesitant about him.

All in all, this particular conversation didn't seem like it was going anywhere so I'm perfectly content with proceeding forward.

Andante just seemed to be genuinely outraged at being sr. I mean it’s possible it’s faked but she seems more believable than in that last game I played with her where she was scum. \_o_/

I still think RR slipped their reads arent genuine in their post where i accused them of townreading me before and not having progression while simultaneously not myself realizing i was quoting a post where they scumread me but when replying they did not even realize said inconsistency as one who had a genuine read there would.

So, essentially, you made an inconsistent read, RR reacted in a confusing way, and you attributed RR's reaction to them being scum not noticing your mistake whereas town would have?

Don't you think it's also possible you're only one who noticed that inconsistency and you're attributed a break in RR's posting (a poster who didn't really post super frequently) to it unnecessarily?

I just looked at my ISO and sure, a disproportionate fraction of my posting is about mech. You may find the fact that I was right mitigating? Around the time I made post 582, for example, I felt that more than one player in thread believed that 1. one crew would get sent to the future 2. one crew would get sent into the past 3. anyone not on either crew would vanish into this air. That's very different from the setup we have, and I though

to point out that people could be misinterpreting the setup.
To be fair I can't really defend getting into the mini argument with Penguin about there being a point to having two teams beyond saying that that's just what my nerd heart felt like doing at the time.

If you're saying that I may be scum because I post a lot of mech, I'm going to push back on that a bit.
This is going to sound a bit snappy, and I don't mean it as a personal attack, but it encapsulates what I'm trying to say: try harder. If I am scum, what am I trying to do? Where are my partners? You lack a theory of that at the moment.

I generally think talking about spec is easier - scum can truthtell about mech, whereas talking about reads is harder because they have to generate and maintain fake thoughts about who they think scum may be. But I'll read your posts about Gamma shortly.

We've had 0 flips, I don't think it's reasonable to assume people should have a theory for what the scum is doing behind the scenes right now.

For example, I think Toog is scummy, but more for lack of contribution rather than actively pushing a scummy agenda.

Though one theory that I thought of while rereading parts of event two last night was that scum are motivated to select a team with 1 scum, like in coalition, so when the coalition fails, the PoE contains 1 scum or something like that.

I felt like it was odd that Andante was voting for team 2, even though she said she was scumreading 3 people in this team. That would lend more credence to the 1 scum in this group theory.
