MS and I both requested cults. (Well, he requested cults, and I requested "cult recruitment mechanics.") Since cults have, ye know, a religious theme, it seems like we'd be relatively likely to select religiously-themed rolenames. This is assuming that the Mod didn't just arbitrarily select roles to be "angels."

Your explanation for selecting chamber makes no sense to me. If your ability is pro-town, wouldn't you want to select a pro-town player? It seems like "perhaps-an-angel + pro-town" would be an even more obvious choice, but you're implying that the latter was a strike against me.

Why did you ask specifically whether he was neighbors with Pyro? I could understand you asking an open-ended question, but it sounds like you asked specifically whether DN was neighbors with Pyro.

Since DN was my neighbor AND Pyro flipped neighbor I was curious if we were dealing with multi-neighborhoods OR if there was some kinda chain mechanic. It was a very simple information to try and figure out more of the setup question.

Angels being blessed SHOULD be pro-town. However, having no magnificent angelic-guesses I went with someone who if it worked would be a.) more apt to not be a mislynch and b.) could then review their play from a town method. Whereas now I know he's not an angel* and thus this whole DN business is even odder.

*Yes, this is under the assumation that angels are town.

I totally missed that Pyro flipped Neighbor until now. I had just assumed the last word in his role was townie. <_< Using the blessing as a weak cop ability makes sense to me. Fair enough. I doubt Pyro was an "angel," though, so I think that if angels are town, there are also other non-angel town players.

Unless your role is SpyreX there was a funny mistake in my PM that would have implied your role was SpyreX hence the comment which would have made more sense had we ever shared PM's.

I don't think all town is angels. I AM of the opinion that all angels are town, though.

God sounds horrendously like a cult leader-type role (see e.g. Lord Gurgi's Martyr Mafia, the premise was similar)

I also know in Emp's Kubrick mafia the mafia had to "activate" the cop in order to get nightkills (and for the cop to get investigations). It was weird. But the relevance to this game is that I see the possibility of someone of one faction e.g. town inadvertently helping the other scum faction, which could fit in with SpyreX's ability if he is in fact town (he would be inadvertently giving scum blessings). Do you have any good reason to assume all angels are town SpyreX? Also do you know if it's possible something

This is a scum-slip. You would know the answer to this if you were town. If you were an angel, you would know that (at least some) angels are town, whereas if you were a town non-angel, you would alternatively know that there are non-angel town players.

I'm tempted to give SpyreX some town points for just coming out like that and claiming God, but it's possible he wasn't aware of the really strong connotations of God and "blessings" and a cult. He didn't mention it at all which is interesting.

OK, fair enough. I'm Metatron, the Voice of God. I didn't claim because I frankly thought SX might be CL and I like have a DREAM of being culted. I asked for the mechanic after all, right? So I tried to make SX look good in hopes of avoiding his vig and being culted D2.

Not sure whether it was subtle enough, but seeing that SX and a player I trust have both requested angel claims, I figure I'd better claim regardless of whether it's SXCL. I'm curious as to whether there are any others.

If SX really targeted chamber, I think that either he is town or else he is a CL who believes that another non-town faction exists. The latter would seem to violate the rules, so I think he's probably town if he really targeted chamber. If he didn't target chamber, I think he targeted MS because of the cult connection and the fact that he didn't target me. So I think we should vig MS and consider lynching SX if MS is scum, and especially if he is explicitly a cult member.

It would be nice of BM and/or Drench would materialize.

When I mod upick, if two people pick similar names, they'll be on the same faction.

I think alignments can be linked to role picks.

I should clarify one thing, probably. I sent in my role as "Metatron, Voice of God." However, the role PM I eventually got back reads simply "Metatron." So maybe the Mod thought I was requesting the role-ability "Voice of God" and removed it from my rolename or something.

Spyre, why do you think DN would be a good vig choice? If chamber is town (and chamber is vouching for him), at least one of the 4 players on his list are 100% scum, and
