Well yes, but you didn't know he had already had that chance. Aelyn hadn't fully claimed yet. Aelyn got quicklynched.

Admittedly so. My point was that if Aelyn had claimed his role, I would've asked why he didn't target those two. Failing a legitimate response, I would've gotten him lynched.

*Shrug* As I said, I wasn't counting on us being in such a precarious situaton come Day Four. Without the extra vote, it still would've been a town victory, I feel. Aelyn was, at the time, an acceptable loss if he was pro-town. Was it a mislynch? Clearly so, and I certainly contributed to it. But I felt at the time that the more likely scumgroup was Aelyn/Foolster, and I saw the gaime as being very much under control anyway.

Oh, duh, the deadline. That's why we quicklynched Aelyn. If you look at Post 346, we had only about 8 hours to lynch.

Incidentally, I'm annoyed at those that didn't believe my metagame argument against CEScum.

The only argument that I can see for Leo using his role at all is if he was worried about the Cupid role wiping out two protown players or if he wanted to confirm himself. And in that case he should have targetted Nai.

@Tamuz-I don't mind Vizzini being insane (or even paranoid possibly), but then having him also receive "dead" results is just plain cruel.

lol Maybe I should stick to playing: I correctly finger the godfather D1 as an ignorant player. But when I become mod and get access to the roles, I kill the wrong person N3! Ah well. Glad I was able to bring it to a conclusion, and especially glad that it fortunately did not affect the result. And I had too much fun writing the deathscenes.

Out of personal curiosity, mafia: how spooked were you by my prank? I got some details much closer than I thought likely. It was entirely intended as just an April Fools thing, as had been last year. (I actually had forgotten Aelyn had modded that game until he said so!) I was quite amused by the irony- because I thought Aureal was suspicious D1, both the mafia and the vigilante rightfully killed me!

I read the game before getting my role. As soon as I saw your April Fool's joke, I was POSITIVE you were scum trying to pull the same joke two years running. Then when I got my role, I laughed and thought I should at least appear suspicious of the joke. It didn't really worry me too much though even though Aureal and myself had horrid safeclaims. Mine was especially bad after Clara was lynched and had used an all too similar safeclaim.

Yeah, that was my fault, I should have hammered. However, I wasn't quite sure. I read over a few posts and I wanted to hear what CES had to say. I figured it was a "find x, get an extra vote that day" thing. But since Wesley was dead... Mm. Foolster didn't seem right to me. Seems I was right, and wrong, at the same time.

Wow - I screwed up? I believed the Fezzik claim. Bah, guess that makes me a lousy princess.

Well done scums !

Partly because you kept trying to make me look scummy on shoddy reasoning when I had hinted towards a very reasonable role "in a very pro-town manner" as someone put it.

Also, partly process of elimination on my part. Knowing Nai and Thok were legit, and believeing Leonidas to be the Princess, it came down to you/Aelyn/CES. CES was third on my list, but you were at the top. *Shrug*

Just because you believe the Fezzik claim didn't mean you had to use your powers on him. If you had held back your powers town would have won.

I'll give CES credit for pushing the dueling Ibaesha bandwagon to my bandwagon on him; it annoys me that we had bandwagons yesterday on both scum but didn't lynch either of them. (That's as much my fault as anybody's).

I'm trying to decide if town was underpowered or not. I can't decide.

Scum: Yes I know the majority of your given safeclaims were shite, but mafia also had the incredibly strong Fezzik claim, and a godfather role so I believe that balanced the other two having a horrid claim. Although in hindsight, I think I should have given Fezzik to the SK because SKs always need all the strength they can get.

Thok, you have to understand that I usually don't think of all actions at the exact time, usually I do them in sets, like protections & roleblocks, then kills, and finally misc(cop, masoning etc.), and thus when a cop sneaks into the room to check someone out, he sees a corpse.

Aelyn, Leo. I'd like to know what you thought of the potential masonic creation of you two. Did you end up talking using it... or was the game just too short to really utilize it (although it was meant to also be a limited investigative role)

And a overall thank you to everyone both for playing and your patience. If I ever recover my full set up I'll give it to you (btw Valerie would have been a quack)

Aureal
Role: Count Tyrone Rugen, Mafia 2ic

Mechanics: You are the 2ic of the Royal mafia. In the unfortunate case the Prince Humperdink bites the bullet you command his forces. Your partners are Prince Humperdink (Cogito Ergo Sum) and The Albino (Lucresia). You win with the mafia.

Flavour: Count Tyrone Rugen, best known as the six fingered man. You are one of the best swordfighters in the land, and one of the most ruthless. This quality has earned you the trust of the Prince. Your goal in life is to become more and more powerful. Following the prince will give you his favour and power, thusly you are his number 1 man!

Although you do not have to use this role you can potentially claim to be Grandpa with assurance that this role is not in the game.
Man, I can't believe how that game went. I was the least scummy. So of course I had a cop out specifically to get me. So cruel. ;_;

Bah.

I actually married myself to Leonidas night 2 - that's why I didn't post HOW I could be confirmed.

I never spoke to Leonidas. By the time I got the message saying we were married, it was too late for me to send anything that night, and I promptly got lynched.

I still think the lynch on me was done way too rapidly - I would have had time to post my actual role, make it obvious I was investigative, and be confirmed by Leonidas (who I seem to recall also being online at the time) before deadline. The only reason I didn't claim fully was that at the time I claimed I was still two from lynch, and not the only one in that position either.

More or less, as I recall, I said I was confirmable when I was on two votes, went to tea, came back and by then I was lynched.
