You are one of the people that I need to re-read through to solidify my read on. I remember thinking that parts of your big wall read townish and your recent reply to Amrun read townish, but I rarely get a solid town read on you early day one unless certain ~things~ make me read you that way. Though I like this response to me.

As far as me not remembering the last person, if there even is one, I could cite lack of sleep and a bad memory for a disjointed game. Or it's just that I felt like I had more strong town reads than that, so when I listed them I felt like there should have been more.

I know how you function and I know I haven't put out much, so it's not exactly surprising you don't have a strong read. I'd have expected a mention of some sort (I expect you to focus on the people you believe you can read, thus me), but I also understand sleep deprivation and I guess you're still recovering from last week.

The issue is that it's the

strong

Townreads list. If it was someone who had made a passing impression, fine, but forgetting someone from your strong Town pile when you can just scroll back/check the first page for the full playerlist and see who caused such a good impression and yet is now gone... that feels off. My maybe-Town reads are usually a mess after catching-up, but the strong ones I remember.

Okay CDB is probably my strongest town read right now. In the Wire we had a whole meta discussion about CDB and how he tends to lurk as scum.

It's not that he can't post actively as scum, it's that posting actively as scum drains him more than it does most people, thus the lurking excessively. So at this point in time I'll never lynch him unless he literally disappears. That being said, I've actually liked the content he's been bringing forward lately and it certainly hasn't been the middle of the road drivel I'm used to when CDB is scum, so, he's probably town regardless of activity.

I just mislynched the fuck out of Venmar in a recent game because he was being lazy. So hey, Venmar can be lazy and that isn't that really that reliable of an alignment tell because Venmar is occasionally lazy. And when he's lazy scum, he has no options and I can sit back and watch him try to hobble onto wagons sneakily and nail the fuck out of him when he does it. - It's an unfortunate site meta, I can agree to that, but scum are more likely to push it and more liable to do it since they got legitimate reasons for doing so, since scum benefit from running people up for claims and repeating so they got plenty of info for the night. It comes down to the circumstances of jumping the wagon that really determine the alignment, and I think the context and circumstances that you're in, justify that it was from a scum perspective.

The fact that you're absolutely adamant that I'm scum, and wasted your time making that post, but don't seem to be looking at other candidates is worrying.

- I think you spoke far too soon. I'm clearly currently entertaining the possibility of Amrun being scum, and in the same post I made my vote on you I noted that at the time I thought CDB was scummy as well so this is technically not true.

You provided us with some games that contradict my tiny meta argument, but also some that support it. It all really boils down to the gut portion of the meta read I mentioned.

I'm currently thinking Amrun and Nexus could be scumbuddies, Nexus for obvious reasons, and Amrun for what I think is soft defending Nexus without

actually

defending him. Examples are #546 where she says she's cogitating about it and that it's not on her priority list ( soft defence / delay ), the ending of #605 where she brushes it off and says it's not relevant to the game state right now ( more soft defence ), and the ending of #635 where she just acts unconvinced, vaguely calls Nexus town and pats it down by complimenting me ( little bit of soft defence ).
- It really just boils down to small comments that try to avoid actually defending Nexus, but still trying to prevent his wagon from catching fire. Such relationship I see often between scumbuddies. The difference between Amruns defence of Nexus and CDB's defence of Nexus, for example, is that Amrun does it very softly and almost indirectly, while CDB just blatantly out right defends Nexus, which I think is a town motivated response.

It works both ways, so it doesn't REALLY matter if Amrun or Nexus go first, but i'm obviously in preference to Nexus since that strengthens the Amrun scumread a little bit.
