In post 48, BROseidon wrote:Other than me and bork pushing RVS wagons and joking around, this is the first non-RVS point. What's interesting here is that goodmorning just makes a note to himself, but doesn't actually try to push the game out of RVS. That sits with me slightly poorly, because I definitely think that vote was something that goodmorning could have more explicitly used to push the game out of RVS.
Was going to answer this, but you answered it for me here:
I agree that the RVS jump back and forth was unusual, but there isn't intrinsically scum or town motivation behind it.
In post 31, goodmorning wrote:what I mean by this is that if you are Scum you won't flip
This feels like a strange thing to say. ffery points out why.
My opinion remains that she is quite good at this game.
That's actually why I think AA9 is a decent choice to wagon, because AA9 will probably use the wagon to generate content regardless of alignment.
I can already tell you what that "content" will be, if you care to know.
"WHAT I AM TOWN WHY ARE YOU VOTING ME ALL THE PEOPLE VOTING ME ARE SCUM"
Not really game-specific. This is what she does when wagoned. I don't see it as helpful because I don't think anyone will take her seriously.

Nacho helped me figure out how to read AA9.

Interesting that nobody has commented about Amethyst Snowflake's miller claim.

That said, I'm not good at reading her.
I really don't see a huge problem with that; something else of interest is bound to spin off from whatever transpires when she does finally show up.

That said, this is the first game I've been in where there has been so much (read: any) thought into motivation behind which player people vote in RVS and it's getting too meta/speculative to the point where it's simply not helping me figure anyone out.

Considering that it comes right after the "this is where the cool kids are" vote-revote post it was
A. not that interesting looking and
B. not that serious looking.

@hydra: Did you intend that to be a serious miller claim?

By example.

It reminded me of another game I played with Mara. Not the claim itself, but the light deprecation of a partner. Thing is, GiF is a strong player so I am not sure why she would do that as a tactic.

Was Mara town or scum in that game?

Also, I totally forgot about the miller claim and missed it when I basically skipped over the first few posts >.>

I tend to be inclined to believe miller claims. It's fairly standard play for a miller to day 1 claim and it's a fairly uncommon scumgambit, so just playing the numbers makes it more likely that AS is town. If I have strong reason to doubt that later, I will, but right now it's not like AS is being scummy.

I tend to buy miller claims on day 1, too. The way this claim was made bothered me, though, like it could be an offhand rvs-phase joke rather than a serious claim.

Ok. I can't think of many games where I didn't draw at least a vote or two on day 1. Except for a couple of replace-ins. hmm.

I will eventually track this down.
I'm not sure if this is suspicion?

BRO's #48 is Town BRO, I think.

This was my concern with the claim, it looked to me like a claim that you could back out of if the situation required, but I guess that option isn't available anymore

MC RIDE has only one completed game.

He hasn't played with AA9 before.

My gut says Snowflake is honest about her(their? I can't into pronouns) claim so UNVOTE:
