Yep. Note that mnemonic said he's on vacation and won't be able to post a lot, not that he won't be posting at all. Assuming he's back soon and/or manages to contribute whilst he's holidaying then who cares? In post 23, Formerfish wrote: Are you guys alright with someone going on lva but throwing down a vote first?
This wagon seems worthwhile. I will gladly join it.
VOTE: Formerfish L-2 I believe.
Also: Simple Plan, any reason you've just totally ignored the Formerfish wagon of glory?- UberKang

That's why, Kid A. It struck me as wishy-washy and worthy of a push. If he thought Formerfish was acting suspicious, then he should jump on board, not dance around it like this.In post 47, A Simple Plan wrote: I don't like the idea of wagon-ing someone to... What, L2 would it have been on page one of a thread. There wasnt enough time to get a solid read on anyone, at least for me, and seeing the wagon developing that fast, I'm going to be watching those four closely... Now, watching him react a bit more to the wagon, I think it looks rather suspicious. Not worthy of jumping on the wagon this quickly, but with a wagon filling so quick, I don't want to lynch immediately without getting a read on people first; these day one discussions are where my reads start to form, and a rapid wagon like that looks... Very intriguing.
That said, I like his post #61, it gives me a different feel altogether. Happy to turn my eye elsewhere for now.
UNVOTE:
Sooo Kid A, I've shown you mine, how about you show me yours now?- UberKang

This is simply not the case; you're shoehorning my actions to fit your agenda. In the first post you quoted, I changed my vote as I found A Simple Plan's reaction to be fairly town, not in reaction to any questioning of my vote. In the second post you quoted, I didn't change my vote, nor was it questioned. In post 69, Kid A wrote: you keep doing this thing where you change your vote if its questioned
So I really don't like this post, it's a blatant lie. The question is why do it?- UberKang

If you seriously think that then I will explain myself. My joining the Formerfish wagon was obviously purely for early pressure to try and get an off reaction. Now whilst we got a bit of a reaction, I didn't think it was indicative of scum, so when Elyse tried to pull me into her page long argument with Desperado I had to set it straight as to what I was thinking. In post 77, Kid A wrote:desperado questioned the wagon and you quickly disassociated yourself from it and hopped off
when i questioned your vote on asp you quickly came up with reasons why they were town and hopped off
what was so different about the post that it made you want to unvote?
So I started looking elsewhere. ASP's response to my question to him looked pretty scummy so I voted him. His followup in #61 made me consider the first post in a different way; I'd asked him a question so he gave me his thought process, which was pretty messy, brain onto paper type kind of thing. #61 is logical and consistent and changes the read for me.
That's my thought process regarding my votes thus far. Note that you and Desperado don't factor into it anywhere. If someone's comments sway me to changing my vote then I'll acknowledge it as a factor; your comments are only serving to make me waste time defending when I could be looking for scum.
So I'm back to not-quite-square-one. I do find Elyse and Desperado's spat on page 2 interesting and I'm not liking mnemonicdevice's paltry contributions thus far. Agreed with Gee Gee we need to get cracking a bit, I'll scour the thread and see what positive contribution I can make tomorrow.- UberKang

Desperado, leaning town. Elyse, definitely leaning scum.In post 105, StubbsKVM wrote:Uberkang, what are your reads on Desperado and Elyse so far?
Desperado coz he's calling it straight. His #32 is pretty much spot on; Formerfish was giving us a reaction, but it wasn't a magical telltale scared-newb-scum reaction. That he calls and pushes Elyse on it strongly (the rest of his page 2 posts) looks town motivated to me. Although I'm not 100% sure as to why he sees her #60 as particularly damning - can you explain this to me please Desperado?
Elyse's pushing of the Formerfish wagon is misguided at best and scummy at worst. Fish's reactions were not scummy, the posts she quotes in her #35 don't illustrate it at all. I really didn't like that she tried to pull Buffy, me and Alexcellent in on her side either.
I don't like how now (page 5) the issue morphed into whether Elyse wanted Formerfish lynched or not. I don't think this is the issue at all. The issue was and is her misrepresenting his reactions as being scummy.
Also:
I find this really dodgy, I'm not sure I can pinpoint exactly why. Combined with the immediately preceding interactions Elyse has with pdmedic and StubbsKVM, it seems manipulative. In post 119, Elyse wrote:Ok. I have a townread on you. Good job.
Also in other news weighing in on the Slandaar withholding his reads thing - I don't think it really matters at this stage. He'll have to reveal things eventually and if he wants to hold his cards to his chest right now that's fine, as long as we get some other contributions in the meantime.
Finally, I'm a bit iffy on Alexcellent. Grand total of one post with content also citing Formerfish's reaction as suspect but that's it. Given he said he'd post more after work and it's been like 4 days, the dude must pull some mammoth shifts!- UberKang

Desperado's answered this far better than I how would have expressed it myself. Good jobIn post 140, Elyse wrote:Ok I'm sorry but how the fuck is "I have a townread on you" dodgy?
I might have missed it and haven't seen an official votecount for a while, but I think you're still voting for Formerfish, Elyse. Does this still stand? What are your feelings towards Kid A and Simple Plan?
@Alexcellent, don't you find anything worth commenting on with Elyse's game so far? Surely she's caused enough ripples so far to find something noteworthy, on her or those she has interacted with.
@Buffy, seconding the call for a bit of an explanation on your vote for Kid A.
@Kid A, what's your stance on Elyse currently? And could you explain why Slandaar is right and why you're voting ASP?
@Desperado, you're pretty much focused on Elyse presently and I think understandably. But I would like to hear your thoughts on others too.
That's about all for now.- UberKang

Oh dear. Seconding Elyse here. This is so wrong; if you consider Slandaar's posting excellent, then are you agreeing with his reasoning and thus admitting you are scum? You don't address anything he's said against you at all, thus I can only conclude that this is the case!In post 171, A Simple Plan wrote:Slandaar's most recent post is excellent, and I'm going to go ahead and say it's enough for me to consider him town right now. Still looking at Elyse and Kid A as scum suspects right now. Also, got a new laptop so posting might be a bit easier, but as of right now it's 12:30 and I've got my first day of classes in college tomorrow, so I'm going to bed. Will try to update with better quality soon.
Also, if Slandaar's post is excellent and you therefore agree with his reasoning, then how can you say Kid A and Elyse are your scum suspects when Slandaar has them pegged as town?
This is not making any sense at all.
Also, Slandaar, looking forward to your further summary/reads up till current. Are the reads you posted in #166 based only on what you've covered thus far, or are they influenced by later events too?
Finally paging Gee Gee - where you at? Hoping you pop your heads in here soon and give us your perspective. About the only thing I know about you is that you had a townish read on ASP. Can you give us more than that now?- UberKang

Been a little busy over the weekend but have been keeping my eye on things where I can. Pity ASP had to replace out, looking forward to seeing what his replacement has to say.
@Slandaar: I mainly wanted to know if the reads that you posted were based on where your summary was up to, or if they were influenced by posts later in the game too.
I'm ok with my vote at present but am interested in the ASP wagon. Some of his posts were pretty damning and it's hard to look past that.- UberKang

Regarding my last post, yeah I assumed there were only 2 scum. Based this off my previous games which were all newbie ones, where 2 scum was given. My bad.
As to my vote, you guys are right. I didn't factor in power roles at all. Oh dear
I'm chalking up these brain farts to lack of sleep. I'll try to keep the idiocy to a bare minimum from now on.
I've been busy the last couple of days and am only catching up properly now. Kid A and Desperado's scum piles are wrong, excepting maybe Formerfish.
@Desperado, I suppose I can see how you'd see it that way. I found myself agreeing with some of the points Elyse was raising despite the fact I was voting her. I'd have jumped over to the ASP wagon but you guys had it covered after his 'Slandaar's post was awesome' post.
I'm home early today so I'll update with some actual content then. - UberKang
