@farside to respond as to my scumread: initially just gut? but the post i called out i can put into more specifics. word starts getting run up. midwaybear puts out a tenative defense on him (in retrospect i actually don't hate mid's post as much as i did on first reading. i honestly dont know what i was seeing there lol). word immediately turns around and declares a townread on the guy that defends him. feels like a person more concerned with how people are reading him rather than actually scumhunting.

uhh popopo i remember scumreading for a bit now. literally just hoping on every wagon without any input for the first good portion of the game. idk, looking at it again i might hate it less. felt like their case on mandonna was a stretch. dont see at all how 217 is alignment indicative at all. seemed transparent to me that madonna wanted someone pressured hard, not a bunch of haphazard wagons that quickly rise and fall. i agree with that approach.

just like to take a moment to point out that this game had ZERO replacements. When does that ever happen anymore??

As for my own play, obviously I wasn't too happy with it but I'm not sure I wouldn't do that quickhammer again in the same situation. My only excuse is that this was basically my first game back after a long hiatus and I have like, no calibration to my townplay, so I wasn't sure what I was doing. And yeah, I ended up being super scummy (ironically I used to have a reputation as a good scum player). I'm not sure there was a way I could mask my hammer better either, I thought about asking for a claim but I figured just making it look accidental was probably better...

And then I got tracked to Hoctac even though I didn't actually kill him. Doh! The thinking there was to determine, if the kill failed, whether we had protect roles or roleblockers in our midst. But we probably shoulda just had the person killing hoctac voyeur him also... ah well.

yeah im gonna disagree mastina. i hate to sound like sour grapes and town defo earned this win via dayplay, but I don't think it's fair to say scum made lots of mistakes and town made none with their night actions! We lynched two PRs in the first three days. The vig only hit scum when they were confirmed (tbf they shot Madonna, but another town prevented that from resolving).

i also just think the multitasking voyeurs were... kind of a trap? with a full tracker present, i would actually argue the better move for scum would be to not use their night actions at all!
