It's difficult to scumhunt when 90% of new posts are "I'll get to this in a bit".

I've definitely put off doing a reread, but suffice it to say that my current scumpool is Z, AA, and Fe.
Z has yet to post anything that would change my mind on the slot. It would probably be appropriate to allow him a bit more time to contribute before considering a lynch on him.
AA is playing to her classic scum meta. I'd be voting her now but I'd like to see the wagon stabilize first, just in case.
Fe is the one I really need to look at more in depth, but he's playing close to the belt and something about his posts just strikes me as being off.

That unvote has REALLY disturbed me. Like, I'm pretty sure we don't have any trolls or idiots in this game who will hammer without a claim from Angel. As long as people are aware that an "intent to hammer" is ALWAYS necessary, having Angel at L-1 should be fine and hopefully force some content from her.

Why did you unvote fferyll when no one is gonna hammer prematurely? Especially considering your "suspicions haven't changed."

Actually, I just read this and went to check really quickly: yes you did add reasons to your first readlist but that lists me as leaning town, then your next one says bleeding scum, you haven't explained what made you change. (didn't check the others to see if there were changes)

your reason to call me scum looks very oppurtunist to me, the way I account the possible scum in SE's and IC is a random guess and when i drop that discuss right after MOD confirmed that roles were assigned randomly through using Random.org site. I have been MOD before in a different site, the games I have modded, I always considered not to put the entire mafia with full of noobs as it will be unfair in the game.

But how you still hang on to that point as reason and targeting me to lynch over carrey was very oppurtunist, its like you know carrey would eitehrways a lynch target at anytime as he was playing an effort less game.

I'm trying not to fill up the thread with my posts again so I've stepped away from this thread for a bit at times today. 478 looked like a pressure vote, to get you back into the thread. I don't like to see pressure votes made obvious as such because that decreases their utility - if the player being pressured knows it's a pressure vote, then they react accordingly. But, it does include a case for voting you. On it's own, it's a weak case IMO.

534 gives no reason at all for preferring your lynch over Carey's.

I got no sense from your posts as to how your reads had evolved. You know, if you think you documented your thought-changes, you could have just said something like "see post x" when I asked for your reads on your scum pile and that would have been great. with some complicated math which hurt my eyes and said there was a 42% chance of one scum in the three ICs... Kinda looks like he's trying to back up a null point from AA9. But then he goes and votes her.

Agree with GM on Eye Urn who seems to be keeping his cards very close to his chest. His vote on AA9 is based on her being more than terrible town because she disregarded "basic probability" which I don't understand - could you expand a bit more please?

That's not complicated math. That's pretty basic probability. At least, for me....

I brought it up because I have a lot of education in mathematics that I hardly ever get to use. So when someone says something *must* happen in a randomized setup, I feel it necessary to show exactly how wrong they are. I had no idea what the answer was going to be before I did the calculation, and would have stated what it was regardless of outcome. If it had been over 95% chance, then maybe I might have agreed with her, but it wasn't even close. I did mention that it was better than even odds just to say that there's a very good reason that simple minds might think that it would have to occur every time just because it's more likely to, but to construe that as backing her up is a terrible misinterpretation of me just trying to be slightly evenhanded. As previously stated in 463 with my original vote, I originally just ascribed AA9's thought process to being just absolutely willingly ignorant of the basic idea of randomness, but afterward it occurred to me that it was possible that she's thinking that with us being newbies she can push a bogus argument on us. Added to the rest of the scummy feel I had for her slot, I felt it warranted a vote, especially given the game not really going anywhere. And yeah, she reacted just about the way I expected from scum: not particularly countering the accusations, not trying to explain things that we've claimed as unexplained, but trying to shift the topic elsewhere.

And now she's going after the Z reads that were accidentally posted? If she's not actual scum trying to derail us, she's doing an extremely terrible job reading the thread.

Deras is still not participating to the extent that I would like to see. He has made a few good observations, but Mac has managed to make a much stronger Town impression on me with a similar amount of posts. Revenus continues to play exactly as I would expect him to from his meta and I see no reason to think it's coming from scum this game. I really don't know what all to think about Frop/GM/ffer despite lots of re-readings, and now I'm going to have to try to fit someone else's take on Frop's slot into all of this.

I do have some thoughts I'm keeping hidden, but I don't think Town benefits at all from me revealing my suspicions on power roles.

About ArcAngel, I don't like the way she seems to be basing her reads too much on who votes against her or who defends her and even admittedly raising her view of ff for unvoting her on 559.

Look, I was kept under L-1 yesterday which i pretty much see it as scum motivated wagon. the only thing that stopping me to see you as scum is how you changed your mind and took me back to L-2, otherwise I am not liking the way you continously pushing me to participate more. I will particapate and put out my opinions when i have and I feel to put out. I don't have to necessarly write out my reads to meet your expecations.

I especially don't like this part, how is pushing you to participate more scummy? I don't think asking you to participate is alignment-indicative, or if it is, it'd town IMO.

That, coupled with how she lurked for a couple of days after the mod confirmed the randomness of the roles (thus invalidating her first argument) while posting regularly on other threads, then claimed she was busy; the possibility that the original argument was a scum ploy to make us mislynch the IC/SE, her refusal to provide reasons for her reads (which can only be good for the town, putting more information forward) makes me comfortable leaving my vote where it is.

Also, she just unvoted Carey, that gives me the impression that she didn't think Carey was actually scum (or she'd keep the vote up, since the slot would be scum, not the player), but rather voted against the player because of (admittedly horrendous) his behaviour. I actually argued against this in 534, because I'd rather go for someone I consider scum rather than someone who is just disruptive, but who may or may not be scum; I guess I didn't make it clear enough back then though.

Secondly, this makes her voting Carey over Rev or me even worse: IMO it'd be better to make a case against someone you consider scum, specially with over a week yet to go, even if they have no votes against them yet, than just jump into someone else's bandwagon, just because it'd be easier to lynch them instead (which is what she admitted to doing in 596

It's always interesting to play with me because I'am on the other side of the world looking from you. While I sleep you play the game and I have to play catch up during morning. Normally I use lurking as a reason to put pressure on someone but don't think I'am lurking if I don't write more that 1 or 2 post a day. I will try to keep my post relatively long and informative about my thoughts. And just for me would you not use shorthands for peoples names. It's already hard to me to learn them and it's much harder if I try to remember shortenings.

I gave the reads, why do you want to know my reasons, I would put my reasons when i vote them.

Town needs to always give reasoning for everything they do. Especially if you are vanilla townie, for vanilla town don't have anything else except their reads on other players voting behavior. It's poor play to not give reasoning for what you say. Also your reads are from quite long time ago in the early game. Lot have happened since then that have clearly changed your reads but you haven't told us why. You said that you have read those posts (#627) but haven't opened your thought process.

I find it unlikely that AA9 and Carey are scumbuddies but I strongly disagree with the idea that they are definitely not.

I think it's extremely low chance. If they really are scum buddies town has a easy win. Even if you do a wrong lynch during day 2 (and get a mafia during day 1) we have this game wrapped. I just can't believe it's this easy.
Mac is giving good reasoning and is asking the right questions. For that reason I will drop him a point in my scumometer. This doesn't mean that he is town for certain but at least he is productive and could be easier to read later on. For what comes to math (#624) he did, the same reasoning can be applied to any three players so it really doesn't give us much reasoning.

fferyllt is pushing little too aggressively. It looks little opportunist like ArcAngel9 said in post #622. I know we don't have much time and we should lynch someone. Still this feels like a witch hunt where fferyllt is focusing on one player without giving much thought on other players. He must have better read than me, because I have just skimmed through the thread. I still think fferyllt is a townie and he is most likely helping town by pressuring ArcAngel9 but I will still up him a point.

ArcAngel already seems quite depressive (#635) in her attempts of trying to get the scumwagon off of her. Either there are really scum there or a newbie/poor player. Latter don't seem like a option so it has to be the first. Would up him but can't. Still won't vote though. There are enough pressure without putting him under L-1. I'am willing to lynch her when time comes (in few days). I really need to prolong this for I haven't read everything and I want to have more information on all of you players.

People really need to do more summarizing. It also helps replacement players to catch up faster when they really don't need to read 20 pages of chit chat (what I did not do). Also ArcAngel9 still tries to derail focus off her (#642) and this time goodmorning is the target. I would like to vote for you but can't. If CareyHammer's replacement comes and sees one player at L-1 they might hammervote them do dead without thinking too much about it.

Currently I don't have strong read on the other scum. Can't really tell other players apart when everyone is participating on ArcAngel9 lynch. But now I will go to sleep and my next post will be in 9-10 hours. Have fun.
