↑Passionate Storm wrote:You could actually compare flavor. In most of his games, Jason uses faction specific kill flavor. Killed is mafia. Pool of blood is SK.
I thought flavor was not supposed to reveal anything specific game wise?
↑Extrapolated Eagle wrote:Nope. Find another quickhammer. It's quite apparent, I think, that I'm in a game wayyy over my head with many many players far better than myself. So for now I stick with my town read on dapper. I'm not going to reconsider. I will lynch dapper if he requests it. Otherwise I'm going to stick with this.
You don't get better by not enumerating reasons.
If you're right, it gives you a shot at improving communication skills.
If wrong, you'll be able to tailor your game state picture easier (as we will tell you why).
If you're scum, waiting to be coached is excellent play...for town.
Town wants you talking; it gives us info regardless of your flip.
↑T S O wrote:Well, to put it bluntly, yes. In this game, scum are literally attempting to lurk the game out.
That and desperately cling to any possible viable town wagon. It's pretty obvious that scum and Sk can only flail franticly at the major wagons and lurk.
It doesn't explain anything. Gambit isn't synonymous with strategy or tool. A gambit is an action that has a clear cut method and purpose. For instance, in a finished game, I fake claimed sheriff because I knew a player was scum and town refused to lynch them. That's a gambit. Clear motivation, clear intended result, and information to be gathered.
Here, the motivation, intended result, and information are abysmal. I can't find any of it. So no, I don't know what your gambit is at all. You have used the phrase but in a meaningless way. I don't even know who you're tunneling on.
Third, vote analysis works when people pursue scumreads via scumhunting. Although my VCA is moderately effective, it has minor issues. It basically supposes optimal play from all involved. Random tunneling isn't a gambit but just an obstruction at best.
I am going to put you in the need to review file. I so like 75% sure you're scum, but given the last game I completed with do called experts, I think taking a second look is ok. (In that game town lynched a guy who said he was an investigator, but didn't understand his role pm, a doctor who rather than CCing a scum that claimed bodyguard made up he healed himself and tried to prevent his lie from being busted, and the outed architect for lol no reason and got like zero cross kills). That's not even the worst I have seen. So look, there's time to right the ship. Not if you don't try though. I will state that Dapper is scum. You might just be stubborn and new. Clamming up helps me determine neither.
↑Passionate Storm wrote:
Shiro - townbeard or scum, gun to head townbeard, we both have issues w Shiro's recent posting
I'm really not getting this. Don't you kinda agree on Alch? Her being stubborn on the other end does not equal townbeard.
Maybe EE then.
@DS, Lol. You wanna fish. Not happening. Night kill us to figure out which is which. Second, it's not. It's stupid and moronic for scum. Scum should be flexible. Locking yourself into a claim and read doesn't work in 95% of scenarios for scum. My number one motivation as scum is to survive. I naturally feel a maternal instinct towards those on my team, to help and aid.
↑Spider Gwen wrote:Any protective role needs to be on either Stormy or TSO. They will be the ones taking the game forward when I die.
Wut.
Totally on TSO or you. I totally planned on dying tonight.
I'm expendable in the long run. You are much more important to keeping town together and keeping the cogs turning. I'll add what I can but I don't want doc protection. The town bloc as a whole is more important.
Ok. 10-4.
Who should I focus on during my reread? I never got a clear answer.
↑Extrapolated Eagle wrote:Dapper I think sg and passionate storm might be town together. Tso as well. Nobody should disregard them, but right now my eyes I think are on ep aj alch
VOTE: alchemist
I think we should figure out who's scum together and kind of work it out as well. This all the town vote whoever they feel like voting isn't working obviously.
I was thinking you might be town. Then you post this.
@EE, Please don't lord Dapper up as the lord of good town play. He was anti-town to the nth degree. Spider Gwen his behind me and we knew it. I figured it was cop none the less. Jaquen outs this to everyone AND counterclaims the cop. There was only so much wifom that could be poured on that afterwards. This isn't about good or bad play. I wouldn't be surprised if Jaquen's wagon was all town. That type of behavior CANNOT live until lylo. He was the best townie scum could ever hope for.
Spider Gwen was hiding behind Alchemist last night and wound up dead by mafia kill. This is significant because a hider cannot be attacked directly in most circumstances. This means that mafia killed alchemist or alchemist is scum and the mafia kill was interfered with. I am more inclined to believe the latter.
The serial killer also had no kill last night. Grapes was a vig shot.
A town jail keeper or Roleblocker should take not of this and subtly crumb who they blocked or jailed.
↑T S O wrote:You're going to get no answers off TWIE. He's playing that lurker game which makes impossible to distinguish him as either alignment. It's a dirty way to play, because when so many people do it like here, they know that town can't afford to burn policy lynches on them. If they're town, they get to do nothing, if they're scum they stay alive.
It's a pretty pathetic way to play Mafia, but everyone to their own.
You're probably right. I voted him because I was mad anyways.
VOTE: alchemist
You're readily abandoning your investigations and Sheeping the two players you think are morons? Why?
@EE, If you're going to call protecting the cop that cleared you terrible play and the guy who after the fact cried Slayer's good play, there's no hope for you this game. We are confirmed fucking town. We pushed Jaquen because he was playing pro scum and we didn't know his alignment EE.
↑T S O wrote:Oh, Titus - I'm thinking that VCA on Klingon's lynch points strongly towards a guaranteed scum in {inte, IAI, TWIE}. Do you agree?
Depends on Alchemist flip. Give me a minute to explain my VCA throughly to Jeanne. I am trying to teach her to be a better player so I need to document every detail.
TSO, in my opinion, scum are caught in a VCA just like scum are caught in mafia. Focus on identifying town and make sure you're not voting them. I get carried away in prosecuting scum but the best approach is identifying town.
The VCs on the last page are not colored because we are changing assumptions frequently. The first VCA I will do is assuming Alchemist is scum. Please show your methods on your VCA.
↑Varsoon wrote:Your question about grapes seems like a diversion; I prefer all grapes. I do not see what this has to do with the New Jedi Order, however.
Alchemist represents a disturbance in the force. That is my 'read'.
Hardbus? Why would AJ's vote be a hard bus if she's town?
I agree with the rest of that. EE being an asshole because we lynched a game thrower is no excuse. If town, he should let me have it post game about how bad that lynch sucked. He's basically saying y'all are morons, let me sheep your wagon and ignore you. That doesn't make coherent sense from any poV.
Oooh I sense big revelation coming. Need to finish VCA first. Regular too easy blah blah disclaimer.
@EE, I am not going to apologize for lynching a terrible town who was playing terribly whether by his own design or whether he's retconning to save his own ego.
You want me to reconsider someone in my town block? Make a case.
Pouting like a kid who is sad he didn't get the toy he wanted ain't gunna cut it.
Tldr errant is likely scum if Alch is. Then PerV for his sole vote countering the person who started Klingon train (if AJ is proven bussing ignore this).
Shiro TSO elyse town.
After lynching Alch look into EE Random and inte. Both inte and random are not likely scum.
@Aneninen, You should read the wiki on hider. They are untargetable by night actions. Instead, they get killed if scum murder the person they hide behind.
↑T S O wrote:I saw it, but took it to mean that PS shouldn't waste her time re-reading Alchemist, rather than that Alchemist wouldn't be targeted.
It's possible to interpret that post in different ways, since it isn't the most clear-cut.
It was our way of discussing who would be copped. We can't pretend to be cop without results well. My "reread" would look like asking SG who to cop while I would know what she was doing.
Either Alchemist is scum or scum shot and healed him. Mafia death confirms this.
T S O wrote:randomidget - here's something that I think will help you out.
Go fuck yourself.
PD didn't say it was more likely, she said that is what happened. She can't know unless she took the shot. Also it is possible Gwen didn't use her ability. And it is perfectly possible she hid behind a target who she hoped would be ignored but was vig-killed.
Vig kill is impossible. Flavor doesn't match.
The odds of SG missing their action are abysmal.
Mafia killed flavor reveals the mafia was involved in her death.
↑I Am Innocent wrote:I should start being more active now, my apologies all. Real life issues + holiday really left no time for either of my games.
I still have a ton of D1 to read, and a little of D2, but this is where I am at.
1) an ISO of SG shows PS is town/was her N1 target. Not a fan of EE and RM posts toward PS today.
2) can't find where in that ISO where her crumb was of a N2 target, as she obv hid behind grapes or scum. Do people think it is alch, hence the quick wagon?
3) I stand by my earlier ISO of alch, still don't see the scum motivation there, and that does seem like the counterwagon to Klingons end of D1, no?
I will prob ISO EP next as i had some early game scum vibes from him.
Look at me and SG talking about rereads. I almost never reread. There's your crumb.
Because Shiro suspected him since Day 1 and people kept obvscumming or "Slayer's Gambit" so she never got the lynch she wanted. I pushed for it pretty hard.
1) alchemist was a last second attempt to save Klingon
2) scum have a jail keeper and both scum and likely deduced SG or myself was a hider to frame Alch
I am half tempted to vote Elyse just because Jeanne wanted it Day 1. Probably not yet though.
EP and the rest of the list I mentioned need a hard look at. Also maybe someone should maybe read garmrs posts just once to check and make sure it's not scum. I can't read past the stupid, that I thought he might have left behind him right now.
↑Randomnamechange wrote:So I'm being scumread for defending town. GG.
Are people seriously going to continue sheeping Titus after she was wrong about alch and dapper? VOTE: shiro
Already scum and first post today was pointless prodging.
*scratches head* I am voting no one and questioning my reads. So who is sheeping me, on what, and why?
I don't want to lynch MoHiS or IaI yet. Those two circle jerking means one of the many guns will handle it.
SG his behind Alch. This is the only theory that supposes smart players and fits with the evidence. Both scum factions targeted Alch. Alch was jailkept. This shall not be discussed further without evidence to the contrary.
