Vote him, if you think he's scum. Otherwise it just looks like you're protecting him. There's no middle ground as far as I'm concerned. Fence sitting at it's best.

No. This is a complete misrepresentation of what I said.

I stated who I thought was the SCUMMIEST for his actions. THAT is who I am voting for. If you're tunneling on Malcolm, that's your business. Do not place your restrictions on who I can and cannot vote for.

Goat, what did Despo do that made you read him as town?
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

His interaction with you, for one thing. He's been extremely consistent and adamant about his reads, and what he's trying to express.

In multiball, scumteams have to decide whether the town or scum would be a bigger threat, so they will either use their nightkill hitting scum so they don't have to worry about being killed during the night, or they will use their nightkill to hit town so they don't get lynched. Shield hitting GCBC means that they aren't concerned about the town at that moment (I don't think they were making themselves enough of a threat to justify being killed), but what that also does is put the Heyman team behind early since now we can look for associations. So now Heyman knows that the other team is good enough to find them, which means that they are a threat during the day AND at night. So that combined with the "they shot one of us, we need to shoot one of them" mentality, I figured that other scumteam was probably going for the vig shot so I didn't really care if we no lynched or not. It's not optimal, but it's definitely better than lynching a townread.
This answer solidifies my initial impression.
In post 1849, Desperado wrote:What do you see in Mutley that Kise obviously doesn't?
Kise hasn't had a chance to read end of day shenanigans, but I'm going to summarize them for him in a minute. I think that his end of day meltdown was genuine as fuck; the advocating for his own lynch and still not letting go of ferret read showed that he really didn't care about surviving and, based on his posting before that point, I don't think it's something he could fake and pull off as scum.
Fair enough. I'll outline my problems with this later in this post.

UNVOTE: NERO CAIN

VOTE: SKULLDUGGERY
First and foremost, two votes on two strong town players this game. I would also like to note before I get into this that Ferret knows how to play mafia, and is not new to the game despite being new to site. This is important to note because he is making clearly basic mistakes and seems to be playing up his newness and experience simultaneously.
In post 72, ferretlover wrote:I think that right now it is still all random votes and shenanigans. Can we all just stop overreacting to everything?
Here we see something not overtly scummy. However, it is notable because this is a player setting themselves up as a median.
In post 146, ferretlover wrote:This is all a bunch of bullcrap.
How was that fishing?

He was just asking about a possible breadcrumb, because scum will use that later if they can and want to. Removing that possibility druing their play makes their claim less believable. I actually think that that is pro-town.
Random discusson about a breadcrumb and is arguing that early reveals are pro-town because of their effect on wigggle room? How did this slide?
In post 152, ferretlover wrote:I didn't even see any breadcrumb happening, but I don't see it as bad to point out a possible breadcrumb.
This is basically all the response that was given and then that conversation died.

In post 468, ferretlover wrote:So I get back from school, and I get a wagon on me. lolwut

What is being expected of me currently? There are so many posts when I get back from school that I get overwhelmed. I have no idea what questions people are trying to ask me, because they are just getting boggled up with all of the other (for the lack of a better term) "filler" posts.

Could someone
please
make a post with the questions they would like me to answer, and I would be glad to comply.
Simply put this post is terribad. If you can't take the time to read and respond to relevant things already in thread then why would you vie for time like this? The hope here is clearly to get a couple of questions that are manageable and let the rest fall away. And he is surprised to get a wagon from his bullshanks, which eventually dies to Goat and etc which he advocates but then goes nowhere with. That is quoted to for reference.
In post 496, ferretlover wrote:I don't really have any scumreads for now, so I will make a vote in my next post for the person with the post longest ago.
Wut the actual Fuck?
In post 566, ferretlover wrote:@Ravenpaw what have I ignored? Just quote/say it again and I'll probably be happy to answer.
See now, this is why I called that earlier thing bullshanks (refer to {1}), because he has yet to vote anyone else and voted her on the policy of...pretty much nothing by his own admission?.. and then he is being submissive towards her.
In post 708, ferretlover wrote:Hello, I'm back. I have seen this stuff and have felt that the Krab wagon is unneeded. Goat, however, has been much worse. If you're drunk, then don't play werewolf.

VOTE: THE GOAT
And then he votes Goat. It's been a while here, but pressure is off him and goat is getting traction so this is a vote "for being drunk". That is four throwaways in a row, not somethng I feel happens from townies, especially not ones who seem so involved in the game. Why is this person not casing or advocating anyone? Why does he not have reads? Why is he playing an erratic game? To avoid looking too false. That is literally the only reason that I can come up with that makes any sense, because for someone who "can't reply to the big pile of questions/casing/etc" made against him he is remarkably active.. and unfocused.
In post 903, ferretlover wrote:And Town will make scumslips too if they are drunk and not careful, so that degrades your point.
Defending? Before you voted him for being drunk, then you said he appeared genuinely drunk (forgot to quote guys, sorry), now you're defending him for drunkenness because the act of intoxication somehow makes someones statements less likely to reflect their alignment in your eyes? This is again contrary with various things ferret stated before regarding his views on playrs, playstyle, scumminess, and the like. It doesn't add up at all for a player who is not inexperienced.
In post 946, ferretlover wrote:I

I don't feel like there are any good lynches today, so should I just vote No Lynch?
946 pages in this is said? are you shitting me? Such a goddamn throwaway for the shitty voting a play made up to this point. Indeed, past here we somewhat see his play tighten up. It looks like someone got snipped at. Maybe a day QT?

In post 1254, ferretlover wrote:So vote for me then pressure another vote. What are you doing?

Nonono. Confirmation bias or flail, this guy doesn't do well under pressure either way.
In post 1316, ferretlover wrote:Goat really bought a shovel and went to town there. Diggin' himself a hole. Should GOAT be the lynch today or should it be RATEDR or should it be MALCOM? So many lynch choices D:
Another push for goat while voting the other hydra that gave you a major scumread boner after you voted him and you decide to attempt and set up lynches? This post hurt my heart a bit, I almost felt bad for him.
In post 1407, ferretlover wrote:You can't just "disregard" someone in a game like Mafia. You have to read everything and make logical, educated decisions. If you just "disregard" Nero because he suspects you then you will definitely be seen as scum.

This came out of nowhere so I included it.
In post 1625, ferretlover wrote:What does that even mean?

You find someone that irks you and you urge them to talk less? A townsmember should want them to talk more to gain info from them. The only reason to shut someone up is if you don't want what they have to say to be heard.

As someone who wants ferret dead also, I appreciate this case. +1
In post 1860, Mac wrote:
@mod - you have Fuzzyman listed twice.

I feel good about a sven/mutley scumteam at the moment... sven defended krabs and mutley hard then feigned stupidity by claiming "mutley will be lynched anyway" whilst still being on the Goat wagon. I think this is delibrate obtuseness and sven was either protecting a buddy or hoping for towncred from the protection of krabs/mutley. leaning towards the former, since he could've compromised by voting mutley if he was hoping towncred.

vote Mutley
I understand that you're making a judgement call at the end here, but in these two hypothetical examples, isn't Sven scum in both of them? So even if you think Svenscum was more likely to do one thing over another, if the only two scenarios you see both have Sven as scum, you should really be voting Sven, right?
In post 1868, Mutleyddmc wrote:Cos I also want to play a game. there was a chance I could survive and you could go. Had someone put me at l-1 though I would have decided that chance had gone, and taken one for the team. Eitherway if I had voted to hammer or L-1. still needed someone else to vote which they didn't!
(Nacho this is where my problem is)

So your position today is that you would have hammered yourself if you were L-1, but you spent most of the end of yesterday "not caring about surviving" as the L-3 and L-1 votes on your own wagon, until you decided you wanted to live again. It just doesn't add up to me. If you are town and truly didn't give a shit about surviving (because you "love proving people wrong") then why switch at all? If you are/were 100% on ferretscum why did you vote Goat? Your vote was getting wasted either way--a Goat lynch was never realistic (which is why anyone who joined it/didn't vote is a potential suspect)--wouldn't it have proved your point even better if you voted ferret? Or just kept your vote on yourself, like you had been doing for a couple RL days and had claimed you wanted to do in order to prove us wrong?

It reads like a scum "I'm ok with getting lynched!" gambit that you weaseled out of and are now retroactively justifying, not a coherent town strategy.
In post 1869, penguin_alien wrote:I'd specifically like to hear from ArcAngel9, Fuzzyman, and Jebus as to why they weren't voting at the end of the day.
With people indicating an interest in lynching The Goat, those who moved to that wagon are less suspect to me.
Jebus said he wouldn't mind a Goat wagon, and his lack of follow-through is even worse than ArcAngel9's avoiding the issue. Then Fuzzyman voting over a fairly obvious jest and unvoting without any follow-up is equally lousy.

Given that xMalcolmx apparently didn't follow through on their intent to kill The Goat, it doesn't seem as shady that they'd try to get The Goat lynched yesterday.

VOTE: Jebus
I don't like this post.

The bolded just isn't true. Malcolm and Mutley were the 3rd and 4th votes on the Goat wagon made at 1230 eastern on Friday. Demencha puts mutley back to L-1 at 1:15pm, so that means that
every remaining player had to vote Goat in order to obtain a lynch, including (as you note) Arc (essentially V/LA, promised to catch up and vote and never did), Jebus (had a chance to vote Goat Friday night at 830pm and didn't), Fuzzyman (didn't post after Thursday), and RATEDR (hadn't posted since the Saturday before the deadline, got replaced overnight).

That's right, the Goat wagon needed RATED's vote, and he hadn't posted for
an entire week
. Anyone who claims that they thought Goat was a legitimate counterwagon after Demencha had voted mutley and required all 11 remaining players to vote Goat either a) wasn't paying attention or b) is lying. So which are you doing? Because you're simultaneously acknowledging the general uselessness of the 3 who didn't vote while ignoring the fact that RATED had to get replaced and then pretending like the Goat wagon was legitimate.

And a Jebus vote at this stage is just bad. Why are you advocating a policy lynch when we have 70+ pages of content to analyze? This is Jebus' meta, for better or worse, and no amount of pressure is going to change that.
In post 1881, ferretlover wrote:I'm going to say that I understand the case against me, but it is the way that I think IRL too. My mind seems to go all over the place sometimes, and I seem to forget things.

Now is it scummy to be honest?
That's how I'm interpreting it right now, yes.
In post 1911, ArcAngel9 wrote:^ Isn't that list is full of inactive people.. Easy picks to call some Ferret.. GREAT Scum hunting. you deserve slap!!!!

Desp its a good point you make that my vote should be on sven technically but at this stage I feel it would be pretty counter productive to do so. Gonna wait and see what the replacement says.

Mutley I cannot fathom out why you would not vote urself. You were advocating votes on you to avoid a nl yet stiill wanted a chance of survival?

I decided I was enjoying the challenge of this game so gave myself every possible chance to last longer. That meant only putting the hammer down.

Should answer all 3 of you.

But despo also said I followed onto goat. Well as I was saying I didn't want a NL. I had to vote for the only other option. Putting it on ferret would have only been less productive towards getting a lynch would it not?

Put me in a position in which I have to hammer and I will. If you Don't get that then try focusing on someone else.

I've got an idea now. Probably a bad one, but may as well run it by you guys:

Since Mutley said he would hammer if he was at L-1, what would be the harm in setting him at L-1? If someone else hammers then we power lynch them tomorrow, and if Mutley decides again that he doesn't want to be lynched then we power lynch him now.

@ Bolded: then you're scum. I'm not going to accept that as an answer.

@ Italicized: I've already shown how anything other than your lynch was a complete non-starter the second Demencha voted you. RATED hadn't posted since the Saturday before deadline and was not getting replaced before day's end.
Even if Arc/Jebus/Fuzzy had all gotten their shit together and voted Goat (which was not likely to occur in the first place), RATED was completely MIA.

Yeah I'm done here. Demencha would have hammered you and he voted 45 minutes after you and Malcolm unvoted. Malcolm had expressed his desire to see your slot dead all day. If Nacho got shitfaced Thursday night or something and overslept on Friday, you absolutely 100% get lynched. Why are you trying to pretend this is false?

Well Malcolm unvoted too so demencha vote wouldn't be the hammer?? If agree with your points if Malcolm didnt unvote and I took away the chance to hammer by myself. Like I say I only tell you the truth. Would you rather me lie?

Those people that unvoted you are scumspects, too.

We can also never be sure about if you
really
had intent to hammer yourself. If you
truly
wanted to be the lynch target then you would have voted yourself and let someone else subsequently hammer you.

Yes, Malcolm unvoted and has since said it was to deliberately cause NL because he mistakenly thinks you're town. That's motivation that he has since supported, and I can understand.

You "telling the truth" after the fact, when your behavior yesterday does not support what you're saying is the truth, is where the problem lies. You've given me no reason to trust you.

And there's no town motivation in trying to bet me. If you are telling the truth, then show me. Stop cheerleading my case on you and start building one on someone else. Give me a reason to move my vote.

I didnt say you should trust me. I asked if you think I should lie or tell the truth.

Ferret because I have said many times I decided at that point I also like this game so would only hammer and not put myself at l-1
